Happy Chinese New Year
There once was a demure, subtle but sultry chair at Vintage Hardware. “Geisha Girl” … a Savannah House creation. She sat quietly & elegantly. Perhaps her modesty kept her from being seen amongst the curousities, hardware & furnishings at the store. Her destiny was to be a tribute. A gift.
Vintage Hardware donated “Geisha Girl” to benefit the creation of Astoria Chinese Heritage Park (9th & Astor). A place that will honor Astoria’s Chinese immigrants, their culture & contributions to the city’s growth.Lum’s Auto Center (dear friends of VH) hosted a Chinese New Year celebration & benefit for the Garden of Surging Waves. The auction was intended to be silent, but not so for the lovely girl, as she caught the eye of one bidder & found her danna (patron) who placed the maximum bid to avoid losing the beauty. The search for her destiny came to an end & a home was found.
